Croatia supported an agreement between Mercosur and the European Union

Kolinda Grabar-Kitarovi ?, president of that country, admitted that "it will not be easy" a pact between both commercial blocs. In that sense, the president pleaded for a "balanced, but ambitious" agreement.

Following his meeting with Mauricio Macri, the President of Croatia, Kolinda Grabar-Kitaroviæ showed "in favor of an agreement between Mercosur and the European Union" the regional block that country integrates since 2013.

In a meeting with the press organized by the Argentine Council for International Relations (CARI), the Croatian president admitted that "it will not be easy" to agree with the EU ]although he advocated a "balanced, but ambitious" pact that benefits all parties. "I support the agreement between Mercosur and the EU," the Croatian president said.

In trade matters, Grabar-Kitaroviæ recalled that his visit to our country was aimed at achieving "more business" in common for Argentines and Croats. that the president came accompanied by representatives of 16 companies in her country.

On the areas of cooperation, reported that the sectors where agreements are sought with Argentina are infrastructure, shipping and rail industry, information technology, chemistry, pharmacy , food processing, defense, agriculture and tourism.

The agenda of Grabar-Kitaroviæ in Argentina, is 49 years old and the first woman to occupy the presidency of her country, began this Sunday with a visit to the Basilica of Luján with the Croatian community that lives in our country.

After meeting with President Macri on Monday, the president shared a meeting with Vice President Gabriela Michetti, and this sea will inaugurate, together with the Argentine Foreign Minister, Jorge Faurie, the Argentine-Croatian Trade Forum. Also, he is expected to travel to the provinces of Santa Fe and Tucumán, will go to the Juan Vucetich Police School together with authorities of the province of Buenos Aires and will exhibit at the CARI.
