The adverse effects reported by the 24 jurisdictions of the country, after the application of 265,724 doses of the Sputnik V vaccine were "mild and moderate" and 60 cases (0.5%) were hospitalized for symptomatic treatment with recovery.  The report indicated that 33.2% of the events were headaches and myalgias; 8.8% fever; 6.9% a local reaction at the injection site and 8.5% with gastrointestinal symptoms with or without fever. Only 1.2% had mild allergies and 0.14% had sweating and other discomforts.
For people who received the vaccine, it is recommended to consult the nearest health center in case symptoms appear after inoculation . It was also reported that although vaccination is contraindicated in lactating women, the administration of the vaccine should not imply stopping it.
"Upon detection of symptoms such as fever, headache or flu-like onset within 24 to 48 hours after vaccination, it is recommended to indicate symptomatic treatment with paracetamol with home rest and isolation "adds the report.
The report highlights that the notification can be made by any member of the health team and should be done within the first 24 hours, in cases of severe reactions, and within the first week in the rest of the non-serious events.
If the symptoms persist for more than 24 hours, it is advisable to perform a new consult and consider its study if it constitutes the definition of a suspected case of Covid-19.
The Ministry of Health also clarified that in the chaos of mild and moderate reactions, people s must complete the vaccination schedule, with the second dose, with a minimum interval of 21 days.
