Trotta will present the collections that will make up the National Reading Plan

The title selection process and the creation of the collections were carried out by the National Advisory Commission (CAN), made up of 204 specialists from all jurisdictions.

From the Government they highlighted that for the first time in the history of the Plan, the gender parity of authors was included as a criterion for the recommendations and selection of books.

In addition, the Ministry of Education remarked that, with an investment of $ 600 million, around one million will be acquired and a half of books for the three levels of education in order to promote and guarantee the right to reading of girls, boys and adolescents.

More than 200 publishers have presented 3,500 samples of books that have been read and evaluated by the CAN, to later become part of a list of recommendations.

The literary collections will be destined to educational establishments of initial, primary and secondary level or, within the framework of the National Reading Plan, with the aim of promoting and guaranteeing the right to reading of girls, boys and adolescents.

Besides the minister, national authorities, representatives of the publishing sector and graphic, authors and authors, teachers and students.
