Government awarded 67 million cubic meters per day in the first tender
The new 2020-2024 scheme approved by Decree 892 of November 13, also foresees an additional volume for each one of the winter periods, with which it is sought to ensure reversing the decline in demand, leverage investments in the different basins and reduce imports.
The largest award was in the hands of YPF, which will contribute 20.90 million m3 per day to the new scheme that will come from its operations in Vaca Muerta with a price of US $ 3.66 per million BTU.
As foreseen, the Resolution declared the Tender void with regard to the Argentine Northwest Basin (NOA) and proceeded to assign the remaining volume to the Neuquén Basin.
The Government received The proposals on Thursday, December 3, from the largest production companies operating in the country, which together bid around 67 million m3 per day, below the base block of the auction set at 70 million m3 per day s.
Sources from the Ministry of Energy highlighted that the largest contribution comes from the operations of the oil companies in the Neuquén Basin by 45 million cubic meters per day, followed by the Austral Basin, with another 17 million cubic meters per day.
The awarded companies were YPF, Total Austral, Tecpetrol, Pluspetrol, Pan American Energy, Shell Argentina, Wintershall DEA Argentina, Compañía General de Combustibles and Vista Oil & Gas Argentina.
The offers of Petrobras Operations, Metro Holdings, Alianza Petrolera, Pampa Energía, Mobil Argentina and Corporación Financiera Internacional were also recognized.
