Goldman Sachs will pay $ s3.9 billion after getting involved in a corruption case

The case in question came through the state investment fund 1Malaysia Development Berhard a scandal known as 1MDB.

Goldman Sachs was accused by Malaysia of having aided the diversion of money by organizing bond issues for a total of $ 6.5 billion, for which the investment bank would have charged a commission of $ 600 million .

The agreement reached provides for the delivery of US $ 2,500 million and a guarantee that at least 1,400 million of the diverted funds will be recovered, the ministry indicated.
