Coronavirus: which are the Buenos Aires neighborhoods with the most and least cases in recent weeks

The data come from the Epidemiological Bulletin of the City of Buenos Aires .

According to the health report, Villa Soldati accumulates 3,995 cases of Covid-19, with a rate of 8,551.55 cases per 100,000 inhabitants, but there were only 123 new positive diagnoses compared to the previous week.

Barracas has 6,501 infected since the beginning of the pandemic last March, with 7,261.57 cases per 100,000 inhabitants, although there was an increase of 183 new infections in the last seven days.

In the case of Nueva Pompeya which concentrates 3,035 Covid-19 patients and a rate of 7,186.36 per 100,000 inhabitants, the increase was 107 cases, while Retiro accumulates 4,320 positives with a rate of 6,603.08 cases per 100,000 inhabitants and had an increase of 89 new infections with respect to the previous week.

In contrast to the data from those neighborhoods -all below 200 new cases in the last week-, Flores and Villa Lugano presented variations of 253 and 243 newly infected, respectively, in the last seven days, although the rate of infected per 100,000 inhabitants is below 6,000 patients.

Balvanera registered an increase of 353 new cases and its incidence rate is 5,391 per 100,000, while in Palermo, there were 519 new diagnoses, and it has 3,158 per 100,000 inhabitants.

In turn, the The health report verified a relative increase of 5% in the total number of confirmed cases in the City from the week prior to the current one and pointed out that "in 27 of the 48 Buenos Aires neighborhoods this percentage of increase was exceeded" .

The Epidemiological Bulletin pointed out that during this period, the Buenos Aires neighborhoods of Nuñez, Recoleta, Belgrano and Liniers, Palermo, Coghlan and Villa Pueyrredón are the ones that increased their cases the most, between 10% and 7%.
